I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
